SYMPOSIUM
a year of painting
In 2022 I decided to dedicate a year to painting.
This decision came as a possible reflection with respect to a historical social moment that prompted me to choose the pictorial action as a conceptual act in an attempt to reflect on society and human relationships.
My normal attitude is to use painting and drawing in the planning phase of my work, as a tool capable of giving me, with the necessary time, a vision and a clarification of the type of installation I would like to create.Imagining the painting as work final involved a change of perspective.
Birds are the way I have identified to talk about humanity, this influence comes from the study of the writings of Farid Ad-Din Attar and in particular of: THE WORD OF THE BIRDS.
From this year of work, 6 large-format watercolor paintings came out in which I dealt with the themes of contemporary social life, and a daily practice of visual notes that looks like a diary for images.
