HABITAT 01
National Gallery, Rome
HABITAT01 is the site-specific installation created for the spaces of the National Gallery in Rome. For the first time the margin narrated by Eugenio Tibaldi is no longer territorial but becomes a margin of the human psyche. A narrative that unfolds as a path within each of us in the search for spasmodic balance.
The artist moves in a succession of daily and intimate rituals, of common objects, small devices that we create and that are allow us to face reality. A sort of refuge, a mental space that becomes physical in which the natural element is folded and transformed becomes a functional and hostile structure at the same time. Traveling through this space it can become the story of a day but at the same time of a whole life in an existential loop that knows no age and looks into the abyss of each of us with the characters of obsession and precariousness.
